Your Birth Podcast List

If you're like me and as much as you love a good book, you also don’t. Suddenly your 10 pages in and totally invested then "mummmmy", or ‘bing’ goes your phone, or your driving, or your at work, or one of your 1 million other 'good' reasons not to read that book pops up.

So, I have dedicated some time to exposing the best or my favourite birth podcasts:

Side bar: Going down this rabbit hole, I did NOT realise jut how many podcasts there are out there. Like seriously anything you might be concerned, interested, or wanting to know, about birth there is a podcast for.

Alright lets get to itttttttttttttt

My Personal Favourite

The Midwives' Cauldron

Join us (Katie James and Dr. Rachel Reed) as we hubble, bubble, toil, and trouble our way through aspects of midwifery, birth, lactation, and womanhood. We tackle and discuss a variety of topics within the sphere of womanhood, birth, and lactation and what this entails in today's society. We want to be able to share in the strengths of women gathering together and being more informed, for their birth, their feeding experience, and the transition into knowing ourselves better. This is the podcast to connect us as a greater circle of women united.

Australian Birth Stories

A Podcast of Mothers' stories of childbirth. Weekly interviews with mothers giving their first hand accounts of child birth in Australia. Designed to help educate and inform first time pregnant women, parents wanting to have better subsequent births and birth enthusiasts who love to hear and tell birth stories. An entertaining and heartfelt resource for pregnancy, labour and delivery and postpartum.

Evidence Based Birth Podcast

In the Evidence-Based Birth podcast, we (Rebecca Dekker) cover the research evidence on hot topics about pregnancy and childbirth! Our mission is to raise the quality of childbirth care globally, by putting accurate, evidence-based research into the hands of families

The Free birth Podcast

The Free Birth podcast is a virtual corner of the universe dedicated to validating birth as our own and celebrating the growing movement of women reclaiming birth as our own. It simply highlights the fact that free birth is a viable option for many women, and that there is room in this world for every woman to exercise her own personal choice in birth. Join us as we discuss legal and human rights in childbirth, investigate the different models of care, and hear from women around the world as they tell their stories of birthing freely.

VBAC Birth Stories

A podcast featuring Australians sharing their journey of vaginal birth after caesarean. Through sharing and learning from each other's lived experiences the podcast is designed to empower and educate those whose VBAC journey may have just begun. Help all expecting mums achieve a more natural birth if that is their intention, and better inform birth professionals about one's journey to a VBAC.

I have over 40 (yes 40!) different birth podcasts to listen to and if you're anything like me, then you would much rather a small list to choose from, rather than a hundred different podcasts, so you're welcome.

But... let me know what your favourite podcast is? And if it isn’t already on my list I shall take a listen and add it in.

All the love,
